What the current thread actually says
A player looking for Chromondium said the missing pieces were Diamond Onion and Starling. Replies place Diamond Onion on Lou's Island and Starling at Gleam Reef, high on the left as you enter. One reply also says a Tier 3 Scooper is needed to find Diamond Onion. That is the clearest public lead we found, but it is still a small community thread rather than an official recipe page or two independent walkthroughs.
A precise map pin would overstate those replies. Island landmarks can be described differently by different players, and the Diamond Onion wording mixes a beach reference with an underground-tool requirement. Use it as a direction to investigate, then let the Lexicom and detector cues settle the exact collection method in your current build.
Check the Lexicom before takeoff
The Lexicom is the best bridge between a community hint and your own save. A current hands-on tips guide says discovered materials show their location and required gadget there. Open Diamond Onion and Starling if they are already recorded. Note the island, gadget icon, and level, then compare those details with the player route.
If an entry is not yet visible, continue the nearby story or exploration step rather than assuming the material is bugged. Lou's Lagoon allows broad exploration, but the developers have said minor story exceptions exist. A missing entry can therefore mean the game has not introduced the relevant material or tool level yet, not that the reported island is wrong.
Diamond Onion search plan
Begin on Lou's Island with the highest Scooper level available to you. The community reply specifically names Tier 3, so an earlier Scooper may detect nothing even in the correct area. Search the beach-side area in measured detector passes, covering new ground with each sweep. Do not rely on the ingredient's name to identify a visible plant; the reported use of the Scooper points toward an underground node.
If the detector remains quiet, stop before spending an entire session circling the island. Reopen the Lexicom, confirm the tool level, and check whether the recipe or quest has properly introduced the item. This is also a good place to save a screenshot of the in-game entry for a correction report. A version-specific screenshot is much more useful than simply saying the guide is wrong.
Starling search plan
The same Steam discussion places Starling on Gleam Reef, high on the left after entering. Treat “left” as relative to the normal arrival or entrance path, not a universal compass bearing. Gain height, check the left-hand upper terrain, and watch for the collection cue shown in your Lexicom.
Gleam Reef is also part of other mid-chain resource routes, including Pulsitium in current crafting guides. Clear inventory space before leaving so the trip remains useful even if the Starling lead takes longer than expected. The plane can hold overflow when you stand near it, and a planned deposit before departure is less frustrating than discarding materials on the far side of the route.
Why the planner does not calculate Chromondium yet
Our calculator only includes a recipe when two independent public sources agree on the quantities and refinement steps. For Chromondium, the present public evidence is good enough to help someone resume a stuck search, but not strong enough to automate a full shopping list. A calculator output looks authoritative even when its input was a single reply, so the threshold has to be higher.
