A release-week crafting guide lists one Power Source as one Energy Pearl plus two Pulsanite. Its worked three-unit chain expands to three Goo Pearls, 18 Zananas, 12 Circuitry, three Bronze Scales, 12 Pulsitium and 24 Heavy Ore. Because the full quantity chain currently comes from one complete public recipe table, verify the final totals against your workstation before gathering.
Use this as a lead: the exact route or recipe is not yet supported by two independent public sources. Check the current Lexicom or crafting station before committing a long run.
Read the recipe from the bottom up
The final Manufacturer card can hide the real size of a Power Source job. The current public table gives the top line as one Energy Pearl and two Pulsanite. Energy Pearls require their own ingredients, including a Microchip, and Microchips lead back to Circuitry and Bronze Scales. Pulsanite leads back to Pulsitium and Heavy Ore. The travel plan therefore spans farming, underground gathering, mining, fishing, refining, and manufacturing.
Before collecting anything, open the recipe in your own build and write down the target quantity. Multiply each branch all the way to raw materials. The public worked example is for three Power Sources; if your task asks for a different number, do not copy the three-unit total blindly. A patch can also change a multiplier, which is why the in-game recipe card remains the final check.
The reported three-unit shopping list
For three Power Sources, the launch-build guide reports three Energy Pearls and six Pulsanite. It then expands the Energy Pearls to three Goo Pearls, 18 Zananas, and three Microchips. Those Microchips expand again to 12 Circuitry and three Bronze Scales. The Pulsanite side expands to 12 Pulsitium and 24 Heavy Ore.
Think of that list as a route draft, not a promise. It is internally consistent within the published recipe table, but we have not found a second complete table that independently reproduces every multiplier. Check the Manufacturer and Refinery screens, then adjust the quantities before spending a long session on the route.
- Farm or collect: 18 Zananas and the three Goo Pearls shown by your current recipe.
- Scoop: 12 Circuitry underground on Norleaf.
- Fish: three Bronze Scales with the required rod level.
- Mine: 12 Pulsitium on Gleam Reef and 24 Heavy Ore in the Lou’s Island cave.
- Manufacture in dependency order: Microchips, Energy Pearls, Pulsanite, then Power Sources.
A route that reduces backtracking
Start on Lou's Island. Empty the plane, harvest the Zananas your current recipe needs, and clear the Heavy Ore cave with Swirler 2.0. If the cave nodes are waiting to return, do not buy an expensive replacement out of frustration unless time matters more than Shellings. Move on to another branch and revisit the cave after several in-game days, which is the respawn pattern reported by one hands-on guide.
Fly to Norleaf for underground Circuitry with the Scooper, then to Gleam Reef for Pulsitium. Add the fishing stop where it naturally fits rather than making a separate flight for Bronze Scales. Radio towers eventually help with autopilot, according to current player tips, but the inventory plan still matters because the materials must move among the aircraft and crafting stations.
Use the plane as a staging chest
Stand close to the plane, open the inventory, and transfer materials before and after each island leg. Multiple current guides describe the aircraft as storage, and one release-week Steam thread shows why that matters: players can spend too much time shuffling items when a multi-island recipe fills the portable inventory.
Give the Power Source job its own temporary section in storage. Keep the raw materials together until you have confirmed every branch, then refine in batches. Do not mix the last Circuitry or Heavy Ore into an unrelated upgrade halfway through the run. The friction is rarely finding one ingredient; it is discovering that a sub-recipe consumed the stack reserved for another branch.
Let machines work while you move
A current tips video says crafting continues after you leave the menu. Queue the slowest or largest batch first, close the interface, and handle the next nearby task. For example, start a refinement run, sort the plane, check a quest marker, and return when the machine has finished instead of waiting at the screen.
Process the chain in dependency order. Microchips and Pulsanite must exist before the higher steps can complete. Keep at least one inventory slot free for each finished intermediate material so the output does not create another cleanup stop. If a machine display disagrees with the release-week table, record the current requirement and follow the machine.
Why this recipe is not in the strict calculator
The Upgrade Planner currently expands Swirler 2.0 and Glider 1.0 because two independent public guides agree on both recipes. The Power Source chain has excellent detail but only one complete table. Automating it would erase that difference and make a provisional recipe look as settled as a cross-checked one.
You can still use this page as a checklist because every number is attributed and the verification step is explicit. Once a second current source confirms the full chain, it can move into the planner. For now, keeping it out is safer than giving a single table the authority of a calculator.
Quick checks
Frequently asked questions
What makes one Power Source?
One release-week recipe table lists one Energy Pearl plus two Pulsanite. Confirm this in your current Manufacturer.
Why do I need Circuitry?
The reported chain uses Circuitry for Microchips, which are used upstream of Energy Pearls.
Why is the route so long?
The final item combines several refined materials gathered with different tools on different islands.
